Happy Flickr Birthday To Me! Selfreflections in Amsterdam. Taken with a Sony HX200V. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop. This month I am celebrating my 7th Flickr Birthday...I would have never thought that this thing would be so much fun and have such an influence on my life when I opened my account in 2006. I want to thank all of you lovely people for making it such a great experience, and of course also a big thank you to the Interwebs for offering such interesting ways to share part of our lives with the rest of the world...on to the next 7 years :)

The Royal Reflection Unedited water reflections of Amsterdam. Taken with a Sony HX200V. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop. The rain-season has kicked off in good old Amsterdam, so my little shop at the Rembrandtplein is closed for now, too bad, it was a really interesting experience to share my photos with the world in real life, and not just virtually on the Interwebs. I am very happy that so many people took the time to come by and check out my pictures, and it's rather satisfying to know that my wicked reflections are spread all over the world now...thanks a lot guys and girls, that was fun :)

The Fountain Of Youth The fountain at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Taken with a Sony HX200V. In the garden of the Rijksmuseum there is a fountain that allows visitors to stand in the middle of it while the water gushes up into the sky around them, and somehow this simple, non-technical, non-iPhone old school pleasure turns the people into kids again, they laugh, they smile, they get wet and they're having a great time. Which proves once again that the best things in life are free and that all it takes is to simply enjoy what's there :)
